Designing D.I.V.A.S SS challenge 1

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished my secret sister challenge. I had it all in my head yesterday, but wasn't feeling good, and it kinda got put on the back burner. So now it's done. Our challenge was to use flowers as many flowers as we could. I thought it was going to be hard, but it was actually pretty easy. I used my new DCWV paper stack. It is Fun in the Sun Glitter Stack. I actually love all of the paper in here, it's gorgeous!!! The CS is also DCWV bling line. The stamp is a new set I got at Joann's the other day. It's called Wild Daisy Rd. by Heidi Grace. I embossed it with copper embossing powder. I just won a set of Creamy Mettalic Chalks by Pebbles Inc. I used one of those to go around the white on the flower. The got sent to me really quick, and I totally love them. They are great, they don't "fly" away like regular chalks. They are beautiful! The flowers are from different sets I've been buying. The center of the flowers is a flower jewel from Heidi Grace. I used my nesties to cut out the main panel. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Doodle Palace Design Card

Good evening, hope all is well with you. This card is made with a digital image from the Doodlepalace. Isn't this puppy the cutest? As soon as I saw this image I thought of a little boys birthday. I don't have very many "boy" images, so I was so glad when I found this. The card stock is DCWV bling, the CS is also DCWV from the "Nana's Kids" stack. I colored the image with copics. I also added some stickles to the bubbles. The buttons are from Joann's value packs, and tied with embroidery thread. I slightly used a sketch from Mojo. I just left out a part. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday Card

Good Saturday morning, hope all is well with you. I've finished card that I was dreaming about. I actually finished a couple of days ago, but have not had a chance to post until now. I used a sketch from the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog. This is the first time I've used one of their sketches and it was so much fun. The image is from Whiff Of Joy. I got it in a swap on SCS. So I'm sorry I don't know the name of it. I cut her out using my nesties that I got from 7kidscollegefund. If you haven't checked out her store, you really should. She has just about everything, and great prices too. I used Tangelo DCWV cardstock. The DP is My Mind's Eye. It is double sided and I used both sides. The trim I found in a thrift store in Lake Tahoe when I went to visit my mom. I used Frosted Lace Sticles around the corners. And the buttons are from those bags you can get at walmart or Joann's. I also used my small scallop nestie on the circle. I colored the image with my prisma pencils and used the colorless blender with them. Her bracelet and the 3 dots on the side of the card are Liquid pearls. This is my first time using those, and I love them. I used Orange Peel and Crystal sticles to accent in different places. Sorry the picture isn't the best. I usually take my pictures outside, but the weather here is horrible right now, so this will have to do. Hope you like it, thanks for looking. Have a wonderful day.

Digi Sentiment Card

Good evening, hope all is well with you. Ok, I kept dreaming about this card I was working on, all night. So when I got up this morning I did my normal-get the kids to school, coffee, email thing. And then decided to work on this card. Well, then I remembered about this Digisentiment card I was supposed to do. Digisentiment is a new company that put out a DT call. So I decided I was gonna try it out. Now, when I went to print the sentiment, I of course couldn't find it on my computer. I finally did, got it printed and started working on the card. Well I decided I should find out what requirements there were, and so on. I finally found the thread on SCS, and then found out that today was the last day for this call. So I started to panic, but I got it done. PHEW!!!! This is my first time trying out for a DT, I don't expect to get it at all, but it sure was fun. I've found that I really like using sentiments for the main image. All CS is DCWV bling line, except the white, that's GP. The vellum is from stuff I already had. The flowers are a combination of different ones that I've picked up this week. I used glitter brads in the middle of the flowers, and jewels on all four corners. I used my corner rounder to do the scallop on the edges. The pink glitter on the white layer is Art glitter, and the silver is MS. I used my new labels nesties from 7kidscollegefund. If you haven't checked out their store, you really should. She carries just about everything you could want. So, hope you enjoy this card, and I'm off to actually do the one I was dreaming about.

Flutterby Anya

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I've made another Anya card. Isn't she the cutest?! I used the sketch from SCS. All the paper is DCWV. The CS is Emerald city from their bling line. The dp is from the Nursery Girl Stack. I colored her with Copics. I did emboss the image first. I used Diamond Glaze on the wings and pigtails. Oh, I almost forgot, I colored her wings and pigtails with my Shimmerz that I've gotten in my SS swaps on SCS. This is the first time that I've tried them, and I LOVE them. They are gorgeous!!! I've just ordered some more, and can't wait until they get here. I popped up the panels and Anya herself. The butterfly's are a punch. I layered the green and bent it up to look like they were flying. Thanks so much for looking, hope you like it.

My Beautiful Girls

Good morning all, hope all is well with you. Today is not a craft related post, but it's very important to me. My 2 oldest daughters Chelsea-17, and Ashlee-14 went to the prom last night. As you can see, they look absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Chelsea already had her date-her boyfriend Travis, and Ashlee went with one of Chelsea's friends. Aren't they cute?! They all had a really good time, and I didn't get home until 2:30 this morning, from driving them around and dropping everybody off. But it was all worth it. My girls don't like to get dressed up very often, so I take full advantage when they do. I will have a card to post later this afternoon. Hope you all enjoy your Sunday. Oh, by the way, Chelsea is the dark haired one, and Ashlee is in the coral dress. Their friend Caitlin is in the black and white-they are too cute!!

Box and Bag Swap

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I've been working on a boxes and bags swap. I decided to sign up for this swap so that I would finally try to make some of the things that I thought were really neat. I'm kinda of a chicken when it comes to trying new stuff. I always think I'm going to mess it up, so I don't try it. Well, I was forced to this time, and it worked out good for me. I decided to do the sour cream containers, and the ghiradelli box. We had to have stamping on them somewhere, and at least one embellishment. For the sour cream container I used parchment paper and punched a circle then stamped a cupcake, colored it, and glued it on there. I used a brad to attach it to the container. I used a gem in the middle of the flower and added a bit of glitter glue. I think it turned out very cute. But my favorite is the ghiradelli box. It was so easy. I got the box all done, adhered some dp and made the closure out of a small scallop square with a one inch square punched out on top of that. I stamped a cute little butterfly and colored it with bic mark it's. I used pop up tape and used that as a closure. I did use copics and bic mark it's on the cupcake. And the best part of all is: I used scraps for all of these-yay!! I have so many and forget to use them. Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

House Mouse Challenge #33

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I've finally had some time to make something this week. This kids have been home for Easter break, so we've been busy with them. And of course the whole MIL thing. So I made this card for the House Mouse Challenge this week. The challenge for this week was to use multiple images or one image cut into multiple pieces. Oh my goodness, this one was very challenging for me. The image is one I got from my mother, and also the sentiment. The third image is one I just got from someone on SCS. I stamped the images in Black Staz-On, and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I blended with the colorless blender pencil. I used a Martha Stewart glitter pen to go over the words. All cs and dp is DCWV. The corners are cut with the victorian corner punch. The ribbon is from the Dollar store. I used scalloped nestabilities, and used a yellow eyelet. I did accent with stickles. The gems are from Michael's. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

2 More Tags!!

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished my final 2 tags. These were for the toddler and season group. For the toddler group, I used the giraffe from Imaginisce. The paper is DCWV baby boy stack. I used my nesties to cut the tags. I added a button and tied it off with embroidery thread. I colored the image with copics. I finished it off with an eyelet and fibers. The seasons tag was a little harder for me. I had one concept in my mind, but it didn't come out in real life. Again the paper is DCWV, and I added a felt flower on the side, finished it off with an eyelet and some fibers. I added class a peels sticker around the edges. Hope you like them and thanks for looking.

House Mouse Challenge #31-boxes and bags

Good evening, hope all is well with you. This weeks challenge on the House Mouse Challenge Blog was to make a box or bag. I saw a tutorial on SCS awhile ago and have been wanting to make it ever since. It's called a Coaster Gift Box, you can find the tutorial Here. So of course I waited until the last minute to get this done, but it's done. The dp is DCWV, the stamp is Beary Best Friend. I used my nesties to cut the image out. The mat behind is cs from Michael's value pack. I colored with copics, and added some ink around the edges. The ribbon is from my stash, and the jewels are from Michael's. This box is actually really simple to do. Thanks so much for looking, hope you like it.

Tag Swap

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I have 3 tags to share with you. I joined a Tag Swap on SCS. We are supposed to make 5 different tags, 1 style for each group. I've made 3 so far, they are: Baby, Birthday, and Holiday. I've still got 2 more to go, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see them. The first one is Halloween. I used a free downloadable paper from The Angel Company, you can find the thread here. It was just put up yesterday and I decided to use one of them for the largest label. They printed out great. The next layer is DCWV, and the last layer is the stamp, it's from Making Memories. This came in a whole set of Halloween stamps. I used a black eyelet to run the ribbon through, and added a couple of jewels. The next one is the Birthday one. Again I used DCWV CS, and the dp is from my stash. I really couldn't tell you who it's by. The stamp(isn't it just the cutest)is one my mom got for me last year. I colored him with Prisma pencils, and added a little bit of stickles. The saying is from Studio G. I added a couple of jewels from Michael's, and an eyelet and fibers that one of my SS sent to me. The last tag is the baby one. This one was a little harder for me because I wanted it to be for a boy or girl. The little umbrella is an embossing folder for the cuttlebug. The green CS is DCWV, and the dp is Making Memories. I added some purple glitter glue to the center of the umbrella, and a few dew drops, and last but not least stapled some polka dot ribbon with a purple staple. Hope you like them, and thanks for looking.

Easter Anya

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I finally got to use my Easter Anya from The Greeting Farm. This is one of their digital stamps they offer. Isn't she too cute!? I love the Anya line. I made this one for an Easter Bunny Swap on SCS. This swap was so fun. We got paired up with another player, and we got to send them a box or bag of goodies with an Easter theme. This is the first gate fold card I've ever made and I LOVE them. So, I hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Blog Group Challenge

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I've finally got my card done for my blog group challenge. Our challenge this time was to use a quote or verse as our main image. This was totally new for me. I've never used either one of these, let alone not stamped on my card. But once I got going, it all came together very nicely. I have no stamps with quotes or verses, so I remembered a pack of vellum quotes that I bought along time ago and never used-big surprise there. The CS is DCWV-Red Carpet-bling line. The DP is Paper Adventures. The brads are from Target $1 spot-love that place. The ribbon is from michael's, and the bottom edge is punched with a fiskars edge punch. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I've actually finished another card this week!! Ok, for me this is a record-3 cards in 1 week. I did this one for the "Our Creative Corner" challenge this week. I've heard about this blog for awhile, but hadn't checked it out until this week. I loved their sketch and decided to play along. I also got to use one of my new Huggabugg stamps from Stamping Bella. If you haven't seen this line of stamps, you need to go look, they are the cutest things. This stamp is called "Love Bug". When I saw the sketch, I new this was the perfect stamp. The CS is DCWV, and the DP is Making Memories. I colored her with Copics, and Bic Mark It's. I accented her hair and antennae with Crystal Stickles. I used my oval nesties to cut the image and mat it. I added dew drops to the corners, and the ribbon is some new ribbon that I got at Walmart. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the yellow mat. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking. I love reading every one's comments, they are very encouraging.

A Little Monster

Good evening, hope all is well with you. This card was made for 2 challenges. The first was for the Sketch Challenge on SCS. The second was for the Cupcake Craft Challenge. The challenge for the cupcake craft blog was to use a monster, didn't matter which one or what it looked like, just to use a monster. I got this monster from All That Scraps. This is a digital image for download. If you haven't seen them, you really should look. They offer all different kinds of digital images. I had gotten him just before I found out what this challenge was, so he was of course the perfect choice. I used the sketch on SCS for this weeks challenge. The Orange CS is DCWV, the purple is from Michael's value pack. The DP is from Imaginisce. The stickers are some that I picked up somewhere-not quite sure where. I colored the image with copic's and Bic mark it's. I used pop dots to make it POP out. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

House Mouse #30

Good Evening, hope all is well with you. I've made this card for the House Mouse Challenge. This week's challenge was to make a shape card. Well I've was particularly excited to do this challenge since I just purchased a set of shape cards from The Cutting Cafe'. If you haven't heard of this company before, please check them out. They offer digital images for download. Now, I LOVE my stamps, and never thought I would like the digital images. To me they weren't "real" stamps, but I have since changed my mind. First I discovered the digital Anya's, and now The Cutting Cafe. They have some of the cutest images available. And they have great prices. Ok, now that I'm done gushing over these stamps onto my card. I got a whole set of shaped cards, and was dying to use them. I've never done a shape card before, and it was so fun. The House Mouse Image is the January Stamp of the Month. I colored him with prismacolor pencils and used their colorless blender. The marshmallows and the steam are in Crystal Stickles. I used my oval nesties to cut the image out. And the scalloped oval nesties to mat. The white CS is GP, from walmart, the colored CS is DCWV. The ribbon is from my stash, and I did accent around the mat with Crystal Stickles. Thanks for looking, and have a great evening.

Good afternoon everyone, hope all is well with you. This cupcake card was made for my SCS blogger group #2 challenge. The challenge was to use chocolate. So I immediately thought of a cupcake. Who doesn't love chocolate cupcakes? The image I got in a swap on SCS. All paper is DCWV, the ribbon is from Michael's. I used copics to color the image and stickles to highlight. I used blue dew drops in the upper corner. The silver glitter pen is from MS. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking. Have a great day.

A win, and a new look

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I was so excited to find out that I won the House Mouse Challenge last week. Yay me, I never win anything!!!! And the best part: I get the cutest little HM stamp sent to me. And on another note, I'm sure you've seen my new blog look. I decided it was time for a change. There have been so many not fun things going on in my life, that I thought I would like a "FUN" blog. So, hope you like it as much as I do.

An Adorable Ducky Journal

Good evening, hope all is well with you. Isn't this duck the cutest? It is a suzy's zoo duck and I received this image in a swap on SCS, so I don't know the actual name of it-sorry! So I made this journal for the challenge on the Cupcake Craft Challenges Blog. This weeks theme was Spring-anything Spring. I actually started making this journal for last weeks challenge, which was in inspirational picture. Although it didn't make it for that one, it went perfect for this week. I had a whole different concept in mind, but didn't work out. Oh well, live and learn. All CS is DCWV,and the Dp is making memories. I used my new nesties, not sure what they are called, but I love them. The flower and leaf stamps are from CTMH. The actual flowers are from Michael's. They are something I bought on stems. I used jewels from Kaiser Scrapbook. The glitter glue is Icicle Stickles. I colored the image with Bic Mark-Its, and copics. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. Oh, thank you for all the sweet comments about my poor Ashlee. You'll be happy to know that it is healing very well. We've been putting aloe vera on it, and have Vitamin E for after, so there won't be any scarring. Thanks again for your well wishes.

This week it was a sketch challenge, so it was a perfect opportunity to use my new set. The CS is DCWV, the DP is Smitten by K&Co. The ribbon is from Michael's, and the jewels are also from Michael's. I colored her with Copics and Bic Mark-its. She is highlighted with Icicle Stickles. Pink Saturday

Good morning, hope all is well with you. First of all I must apologize for not having this posted earlier like I was supposed to. I knew what I was going to do, and was coming in the house to take the picture of my daughter's blanket, when she ran into a piece of barbed wire. So, that took up the rest of my evening. She is OK, it looks a lot worse than it is. I was going to use her blanket anyway, but after this, I took a picture of it with her in it. She was so worried about having to have stitches again, that she didn't mind everything else. She made this blanket about a year ago. She did it by herself and since then hasn't stopped making them. They make her so happy!!! She's made them for her sister, dad, me, and a teacher. I guess I should tell you about this Pink Saturday thing. It is a blog that my mom sent me too. I'm sure she did this because I love all things pink. Anyway, on Saturday's she has you post something pink, it can be anything, as long as you like it. So I hope you like Ashlee's blanket and thanks for looking.

House Mouse Combined Challenge

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I've combined 2 challenges in 1. The House Mouse challenge this week was to use chipboard on your card. For me this was very hard. Although I have tons of chipboard things, I don't use them. They always feel too big, or just don't fit my theme. So I found one of these little tags that I got from the dollar section at Joann's, and thought it fit pretty good. Although, I must tell you, I went through every piece I had and didn't like anything. The second part of this challenge was the Sketch Challenge on SCS. The image is from one of the many swaps I like to sign up for, and the CS, and DP is DCWV. The ribbon is from my stash. And I colored my image with watercolor crayons. I was inspired to use them when I saw a card Gina's blog in which she used her watercolor crayons. I remembered that I had some of those, so I finally used them again. Hope you like it, thanks for looking.

Geisha Anya

Good afternoon everyone, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished another card. This one is for the SCS sketch challenge. I haven't been able to participate in this in quite awhile. It was so fun, but I must tell you that the whole circle part was quite a challenge for me, not sure why, but it was. so I used the Geisha Anya from The Greeting Farm stamp co. If you haven't seen this company's stamps, you really need to take a look. They are the cutest things. Of course I've had to order from them several times. The CS and DP are both DCWV. I finally found the Far East stack from DCWV. I've been looking for this forever, and Joann's finally got it in. It's totally perfect for this adorable little stamp. Oh and did I mention that this is a digital stamp. What could be better, instant gratification. They offer several digital stamps along with unmounted ones. So, I hope you like it, thanks for looking, and let me know what you think.

My First Anya Card

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I have an Anya card to share with you tonight. If you don't know who Anya is, then you are missing out on something great. Anya is a character from The Greeting Farm stamp line. They are absolutely adorable. There is also an Ian line, and he is too cute also. I actually made this card a couple of weeks ago, and it's been sitting here. I just haven't had the time to post it. I made it for one their sketch challenges, but did not get to enter it in that. Oh Well!!!! That just means I actually have something to post now. I hope you like it, and thanks for looking. P.S. you really should check out these adorable stamps.

House Mouse Sketch Challenge #25

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished a card. As many of you know, my MIL has been in the hospital. And that has been taking up every bit of my time. Yesterday I had to stay home and get my daughter's school work together(she's home schooled). So while we were doing that, I actually got a minute to make something. It felt so good to do something else besides sit and worry. This is for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. These are so much fun, if you haven't checked them out, you should-you'll be hooked. This week was a sketch challenge, and I have to say these are my favorite. I got to use one of my new stamps, isn't it adorable?! I tried to use colors that I don't usually use. I kinda get stuck in the "girly" colors, so this was a little difficult for me but I really like how it turned out. The CS is DCWV, and DP is DCWV-glitter stack. The ribbon is from my stash. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

I've been tagged!!!

Hello again, it seems I've been tagged. Karen tagged me a few days ago, but since I've been a little busy I just saw the post. So, I was supposed to go to my 6th picture folder and my 6th picture in there, and tell you a little bit about it. It just so happens it's of my adorable son. Him and his sisters, and cousins love to make movies. And of course they play like they are in the army, and pretty much anything to do with guns. Well the other day he was by himself and bored so he decided to camouflage himself and his gun. Isn't he too cute? So of course I had to grab my camera. I love the cute little things he does, and hope you like it too. Now I have to tag 6 other people. So here it goes:
So have fun everyone, can't wait to see your pics

House Mouse Challenge #23

Hello everyone, hope all is well with you. I've been very busy with my Mother In Law, she's been very sick. But my sister in law is here now and giving me a little bit of a break. So I finally got to finish a challenge. This has been sitting on my table all week half finished. This is for the House Mouse Challenge Blog. The theme for this week is Valentine's Day. I just ordered this stamp and was so happy to use it. I used Pink CS from DCWV, Dp from DCWV. I used a border punch from Fiskars for the bottom border, under that I used a lavender heart embossed paper. The yellow cs is from Michael's pack, white cs is GP. I colored the image with Prismacolors, and blended with baby oil. The ribbon is actually from the Dollar Tree. Brads are from Target dollar spot. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the jewels, they are from Michael's. I inked the edges with ink from MS. Hope you like it, and have a great day.
