Kimono Girl and 5 challenges in 1!!!

Good evening, hope all is well with you. Can you believe that I got to incorporate 5 challenges in 1! Whoop Whoop! This first is a color challenge from Mo's page at PCP. We were supposed to use: Orange, Yellow, Olive green, and Chocolate Chip. As you can see I didn't use the traditional versions of those colors. I wanted a softer tone for this image. The sketch is from Dare You to Digi Stamp. It also qualifies for Cupcake Craft Challenge , which is distressing technique's. I used distress inks on all edges, and also distressed the main panels. The challenge for Kaboodle Doodle Blog is a recipe: 1 solid CS, 2 dp's, 3 embellishments, and a digi image. And for Digital-Ink Co., there is another recipe as well: 2 dp's, 3 buttons, brads or eyelets. So, thank you for looking, and have a great evening.

Rockin' The Rattle

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. Today is Friday and that usually means Feature Friday for TCC, but they are in the middle of picking a new DT. So, we had the choice to post something or not. Well I decided I would, but of course couldn't get the idea from my head to the card, so I'm late! This card is made with the baby word art. I have to say that I'm lovin this set of word art. They are very interesting. When I saw this one I knew I had to use it. It also qualifies for my blog group's challenge, which was to use a sentiment as the main focal. So hope you like it and thanks for looking. One more thing-Annie from Sketch Girls has some sentiment stamps from Creative Clear Stamps to give away for this weeks challenge. You could also be chosen to be a guest designer, so make sure you play along with us. Have a great day!!!

TCC Feature Friday

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I'm finally starting to feel like my old self again, and get things done. Today is Friday which means Feature Friday for The Character Cafe'. This is the first time I've been able to participate since the last release-WOO HOO! So to make up for some lost time, I've done 2 projects. The first is a pizza box featuring Seymour Turtle. I'm sure you know by now that I LOVE turtles, so I couldn't wait to use this image. I colored with my prisma pencils and baby oil. I cut the image out with my nesties, and added some diamond glaze to the bubbles. The ribbon is from Michael's and the dew drops are from my lss. The second project features Boo Witchy. She's adorable, isn't she?! I colored her with copics, and added some stickles to go along with the WIW for this week. Make sure you check it out and play along for a chance to win some adorable images. The CS is Bazzill Bling line, and all DP is DCWV fall stack that I got last year. The ribbon is from Michael's, so are the little jewels. And I got to use my new MS bat corner punch-isn't it cool!! Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your day. Good morning, hope all is well with you. Yesterday was release day over at SSD. This time around was a school theme, so our challenge was to use Red, Yellow, and Blue. I cut the image and mat out with my nesties. The CS is Bazzill Bling line, and the DP is Dcwv. The ribbon is from Michael's and and the buttons are from Joann's. I added some crystal stickles all over the place(hehe). It feels so good to be back doing something fun. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. Memorial Guest Book

Good morning, hope all is well with you. First of all I must say Thank You So Much to everyone that has left such kind comments for me. I really appreciate. And it feels really good to get back to some kind of normalcy. I haven't been able to do anything craft related in 2 weeks-kinda been going through withdrawals(hehe). But now it's over and I'm trying to get back into my routine. I did make a guest book for my MIL's memorial service. We looked and looked for one in the stores. We couldn't find anything we liked or wanted. And when I did finally find one it was 25 bucks(yuck)! So I decided to make my own. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Although I kinda had a scare. I knew I had seen this paper, I just couldn't remember if I actually bought it or just saw it in the store. But I finally found it. I kept if very simple, just the DP, some velvet ribbon, the rose and a computer generated sentiment cut out with nesties. Again, thank you for all the kind words, and there will be more to come this week.

A Death In The Family

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I just need to let everyone know that I will be taking the next week off from blogging and crafting. My terminally ill MIL, who I was taking care of, has passed away. We have a HUGE family, and are very busy with them. So thank you for being understanding, and I promise to get to everyone's blog's next week after the memorial.

Disney Tag in a Bag

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today I have a fun little thing to share. They are called "Tag in a Bag". I had never heard of these, then I saw a swap on SCS, and thought they looked like fun. So the idea here is to make a tag that fits in these cute little bags. They can be for gifts or for journaling for scrapbookers. The possibilities are huge! This swap was for Disney themed ones. The first one is a Cinderella one. I don't know the maker of the Cinderella stamp, but the glass slipper on the inside is from Sassy Studio Designs. It is a digital image so I was able to shrink it down to fit. I added diamond glaze to the shoe to make it look like glass. The second one is Tinkerbell. I used a digital coloring page that I found on the Internet. The third one is Boo from Monsters Inc. The Cinderella and Boo images were colored with prisma pencils and baby oil. The Tinkerbell was colored with copics. All CS is Bazzill, and all DP is DCWV. Don't forget that Friday is the release day for The Character Cafe', which means lots of new images and a blog hop. Lots of fun and prizes to be won. Have a wonderful day!

So make sure you head over there to check it out and we are trying to reach 100 followers, once we do, there are 3 stamp sets to be given away. Also make sure you play along with us. So today I used a Tilda image. I don't know the name of it because it was sent to me-sorry! But she' so cute, I LOVE her socks. I colored her with my copics, and added some stickles. The flowers are Prima's and I just added a jewel to the center of them. Again I used the twine that I "found" when cleaning up my stamping area. I used a fiskars edge punch along the bottom of both pieces of paper. Make sure you check out the other DT's blogs to see their wonderful creations. Have a wonderful day!

WOW, it's the 7th Feature Friday already!

Good morning, hope all is well with you! Can you believe it's the 7th week of Feature Friday from The Character Cafe'? Today I have the Sunflower for you. I LOVE this sunflower and haven't used it yet, so I thought today would be perfect. I colored the image with my prisma pencils and baby oil. I so LOVE this technique. I don't why I was ever afraid of it! Oh well! This digi image comes with 4 different ones-3 of them have sentiments! How cool is that? The CS is Bazill Bling line. All DP is Bo Bunny, not sure of the line. I did distress the main panel with Tim Holtz distress ink. And in case you forget(like I did) the Work It Wednesday for this week is GLITTER! Who doesn't love glitter? So this was again perfect for me. I tend to used it on just about everything I do. Make sure you check it out, you could even win a prize!!! I colored the dew drops with my copics, and added some twine. I bought a bunch of this awhile ago, and totally forgot about it, until I found it the other day while cleaning up(hehe). I swear it's like going shopping again, when I clean up my stamping area! Is anybody else like this?! So don't forget to check out the Work It Wednesday, and the other DT's blogs to see their fabulous creations for today!

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. Today I have a card that was made for the Sassy Studio Design's Release. Saturday was their release, and they had a masquerade ball for the event. This release had a fairy tale theme to it. I've never participated in any of the release parties for any company, but I LOVE SSD, and decided to give it a try. It was so much fun, they had 4 different challenges, I only got 1 done, but oh well. This is it!!! The challenge was to use lots and lots of bling! Perfect challenge for me! Of course the image is from SSD, the sentiment was made on the computer. CS is Bazzill Bling, and DP is DCWV Once Upon a Time Stack. Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day. Good evening, hope all is well with you. Tonight I have a card made for the Sassy Studio Designs challenge. The challenge was to make a fairy tale card using any image from them. I chose to use the free image that she gave us. Isn't it beautiful?! I love this gorgeous mask. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. The CS is Bazzill Bling, and the DP is DCWV Once Upon A Time Stack. The ribbon is from the Dollar Store, and I added some pearls to the bottom. I colored the image with prisma pencils and baby oil, and added some stickles. The card also qualifies for Simon Says Challenge, which is distressing, and the Dare You To Digi Stamp Challenge. Woo Hoo!!! Four challenges in one card-how cool is that! So if you haven't visited any of these fun blogs, please do. Sassy Studio Designs is having a new release tomorrow, which is their Fairy Tale Collection. I can't wait! Have a wonderful evening!
