Just a Couple of Projects I’ve Been Working On!

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you.  I thought I would share a couple of projects that I’ve been working on, and just haven’t had a chance to post.  First is a desktop calendar that I made for my girls’ teachers.  It was so easy, and I have to thank Piali for the wonderful tutorial for it.  Second is a journal I made for my daughter Ashlee.  She is taking a Culinary Arts class in school, and has to keep a journal for it.  This image is so so Ashlee.  She was definitely born in the wrong decade.  She actually wears headbands like that all the time.  So, thanks for stopping by and looking.  Don’t forget that tomorrow is release day Sassy Studio Designs.  You won’t want to miss it!!

Designing DIVAS challenge

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished a challenge that was given to us quite awhile ago. The challenge was to make an altered item with a holiday theme. Well for Mother's Day this year, I'm so behind. Oh well, my mom does expect this of me. But, I have felt very bad about this taking so long. I knew what I wanted to do, just wasn't sure how to go about it. I finally got it done yesterday. I had this digital photo frame and thought it would be a great gift for my mom with pictures of the kids in it. One problem, it was an ugly white plastic. I don't know about you, but I don't like ugly white plastic things. And I know that my mom doesn't. I used her favorite color-green, and threw in my fav color-pink. I primered the frame first, and then added 2 coats of paint. I sponged on pink-just to give it a little highlight. I then added a coat of glitter paint. I glued the flowers to the bottom, and in the middle of the flowers are pink crystal flower brads. I painted a chipboard flourish with the same pink, and added some glitter to it. I used wire edge ribbon to go through the ugly holes on top and make a huge bow. I love how this turned out, and hopefully my mom will too. I love you Mom, and so sorry it's late!!! Sorry about the flash in the pictured, I couldn't get a good pic without it. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

Altered Notebook

Good evening, hope all is well with you. WOW! This is my second post today. Can you believe it? I made this notebook for a swap that I'm in. The image is a digital image from BeccaKay. She has darling images, you really should check it out. The red paper is from Michael's value pack. The black stripe is DCWV, the black polka dot is Making Memories, and the red heart paper is We R Memory Keepers. I cut out the image with my nesties, and also used a scallop oval behind it. I scalloped the side pieces with a corner rounder. I added 3 white buttons tied with embroidery thread. And to finish it off, I tied it with big polka dot ribbon. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Altered Pail

Good afternoon everyone, hope all is well with you. I've made this pail for my Valentine's Day Secret Sister swap on SCS. I joined this swap and it is so much fun. You've already seen what I got from my SS, now I get to send this pail full of goodies off to mine. I was looking through my punches for a heart punch, and found this one. I totally forgot I bought it. It's really neat, it's by EK success. It doesn't actually cut the image out, it kind of cuts an outline, and then another heart on the inside. I'm sure I'm not explaining this very well, but it's really cute. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. I forgot that I altered this little can too. Isn't it cute?

Sabrina's Pencil Holder

Good Morning everyone, hope all is well with you. This is just a quick post to show you the pencil holder I made for my youngest daughter Sabrina. She wanted colored pencils for Christmas, and asked that I make her one of these to hold them in. I made one of these for my other daughter and Sabrina wanted one too. Her favorite colors are purple and green. She loves fairies too and picked the image. She loves it, hope you like it too.
