A Sassy Sneak Peek

Good morning, hope all is well with you.  I have another Sassy sneak peek for you.  This is Reading Rhonda, and she is part of the new release for June 1st.

SSD-reading-rhonda

I used a sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges.  She’s colored with copics and mounted on nesties.  I used DCWV dp, and finally got to use the cute little crocheted flower and leaves that I got at my LSS.

On another Sassy note, we are sponsoring Penny’s Paper Crafty Challenge this week.  June is national fruit/veggie month, so their challenge to you is to make something with a fruit/veggie theme.  I used the Domestic Diva image:

SSD-veggies

I used the sketch from Card Patterns.  Again, colored with copics.  The DP is MME, which I absolutely love.  And don’t forget that you have until Midnight PST tonight to enter our regular weekly challenge-distressed.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Drink Anyone?!

SSD-martini

Good evening, hope all is well with you.  Here’s the last card in the set that I made for the LSS.  I used the Cosmopolitan image from Sassy Studio Designs.  I used a sketch from Card Patterns, and also made this for the Saturday Spotlight challenge.  Saturday Spotlight is being sponsored by SSD this week, and the challenge is to be “slick”.  So I used diamond glaze on my glass!!  Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by!

Squigglefly Blog Hop Day 2

Good morning, and welcome to the Squigglefly Blog Hop Day 2. If you've arrived her from Holly's blog then your on the right track. If you didn't then you need to go to Amanda's blog to start the hop. So, business first! If you haven't checked out Squigglefly lately, you need to get over there. They've released lots of new images. And they've started two new things. First, for the month of July they will donate 50% of sales out of the "animals" category to the ASPCA. Second, starting very soon they will be doing a rewards program. For every 15 dollars that you spend, you get to choose a free image. It can be any image you want, no restrictions! How cool is that? And of course since this is a blog hop, their are prizes. Squigglefly will give 3 images to one person that leaves a comment on all of the blogs today. (they did the same thing yesterday).

Ok, now that all of that is said, onto the card! Today's card uses the image "A surprise from Sara". I immediately fell in love with this image for 3 reasons. First she has my name, even spelled the same way. Second, she looks just like strawberry shortcake-to me. Third, she reminds me of my youngest daughter, Sabrina. I colored her with prisma pencils and blended with the prisma blender. I added some diamond glaze to the sun and clouds. The CS is Bazzill, and all dp is DCWV stack 5. The ribbon and bling is from Michael's. I did add a little bit of stickles here and there. I used the sketch from card patterns. So, hope you like it and thanks for hopping along with us. Now, you need to go to Shelly's blog for more fun!!!

A Whimsy Doodles Creation

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today I have a card made with an adorable image from Whimsy Doodles. If you haven't seen these before, then you need to go right away. She has the cutest images. And alot of them are turtles, what could be better. This image is called "This bud's for you". I printed out several of these and then re sized some too. The idea here was to make a mom and her babies. See the 4 babies? That's how many I have. Actually I've had this idea for awhile, since this is going to be my new tattoo. Although I'm not using this turtle, but a sea turtle. So, when I started working with this image, I thought how perfect to put my idea on a card. What do you think? I colored with my copics. The sketch is from card patterns, challenge #18. I made the card long in order to fit all my cute little turtles. The CS is DCWV, and the dp is Creating Keepsakes. I used my corner rounder to add the scallop edges. I used Crystal Stickles to go around the scallops and to highlight the roses. The ribbon is from Michael's and the bling is also from Michael's. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. I'll be back tomorrow with the Squigglefly challenge, so come back and join in the fun.

Sweethearts

Good morning, hope all is well with you. This is a card I made for the Card Pattern Sketch Blog. The sketch is from week 13. I went with much lighter colors on this than I usually do. The image is called 50's Sweethearts from The Greeting Farm. If you haven't seen these images, you really should check them out, they are adorable. I used Copic markers to color the image, added some ribbon and some glitter flower brads from Making Memories. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Card Pattern Sketch #14

Good evening, hope all is well with you. Tonight I have a card made with the Card Pattern Sketch. I just learned about this blog from Sue at Sue's Sentiments. They do a different sketch every week, if you haven't checked it out, you really should. So, I saw this sketch, and knew that for me it would be a little challenging. I'm not used to using small stamps or spaces. I was also inspired by the colors that I used from another blogging friend, but for the life of me, I can't remember who it was or where. I'm so sorry!!! But, when I saw her card, I fell in love with it. It was all browns with a touch of red. I used a little more red, but really like the results. The stamps are from Hanna Stamps. It's called Cafe' Hanna. I used DCWV cs in brown bling, the dp was in my stash, so I don't know who it's by. I used my scallop nesties for the squares, and a 1" punch for the small square. I used the same tan cs from the squares to cut the bottom strip and scalloped it with a corner rounder. The buttons are from the bag o buttons from Joann's. I used hemp twine to tie the centers. I inked the edges of the squares and scallop piece with cranberry color box ink. The images are stamped in Timber Brown Staz-On. I also distressed the edges with my scissors. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.
